Everything that happens in our life is an opportunity for an encounter with God. How do we respond? Do we try to tend towards union with Him?
Group #7 responded:
We are living in the world.
Even though tensions still love those around you.
The example you give.
Sometimes you have to speak. Your reactions
Our prayers for people and situations we encounter
We can pray for world situations
Pray when hear a siren
Taking communion to nursing home residents, bringing that grace of Eucharist.
We don’t know what example we’ve been to others.
Do and speak what is right.
God is patient with everyone – he doesn’t live in time
We need to have and give the love and mercy of God.
Visual given by friend: creative tension on either end makes the cross. We are united with Christ on the cross, outstretched arms the visual. When the world sees us united with the cross willingly.
How – the cross transformed the world in a mysterious way – in our lives it’s also a mystery. Sometimes we feel like we aren’t transforming the world but messing things up. St Therese totally unknown nun during life has transformed the world.
Do everything with love – we can all do that.
Mother Teresa took St Therese’s teaching and put it in the world.
We don’t all have big crosses. Friend said “don’t you know it’s the splinters of the cross that hurt”
God gives us more than we can handle so we need Him and the saints to help us carry it.
Two rough rocks polish each other. Lit candle in window – others look to that light- as the world looks to us – light of the world – Jesus.
